Judy Genshaft, Ph.D., is a primary board member of Fresh Mark Incorporated and has been a leading director of the family business for over 40 years. In addition to the family business, Genshaft served as president of the University of South Florida in Tampa Bay for over 19 years (from 2000-2019) where the institution (with more than 50,000 students, a $2 billion budget, and more than 16,000 employees) catapulted to statewide, national and international prominence for research, innovation and economic development. In 2018 USF received the elite designation of “Preeminent State Research University,” becoming only the third Florida institution to earn this prestigious honor. Genshaft has received national and international recognition from professional national and international organizations for her effective strategic and leadership skills. In addition to her leadership of USF, she served in a variety of economic and community leadership positions, including the chairmanships of: the Tampa Chamber of Commerce, the Tampa Bay Partnership and the Tampa Hillsborough Economic Development Corporation. She was named an “Outstanding Floridian” by the statewide Florida Committee of 100.
